Amazon Studios No Longer Accepting Submissions by Ammad Malik

I think I can speak for many screenplay writers who were trying their best to ‘win’ their dreams by getting an opportunity to work for Amazon Studios, like myself. But on April 14th, 2018, I received an email from Amazon Studios, which said:

Hi Ammad,

As we have grown and evolved over the last several years, we are making changes to our website and closing our open call for script and concept submissions. As of April 13, 2018, we are no longer accepting submissions. Submissions received will continue to be reviewed and evaluated by Amazon Studios and will be available on our website until June 30, 2018. Thank you all for your contributions.

This is heartbreaking, after reading this email from them it made me feel like my doors to entering Hollywood has closed on me, because in my knowdge Amazon Studios was the only studio that was giving this free oppertunity to all writers to work with them without any agent required. This offering was huge for all writers as huge heartbreaking news this email became.

I honestly don’t know if I would ever be able to enter the entertainment world, I don’t have any hopes from Stage 32 because I have had bad experience with working with two writers there.

Lets hope for the best!
